Cycling to St Tropez

I want to let you know about something that Jamie Hockin and I will do in September. Please visit this website for full details, but the premise is to do 1000 miles in 10 days: London to St Tropez.
Why?
Well, in 1987, Jamie’s sister tragically died of cancer at the age of 3. Since then he has been looking for the opportunity to do some fundraising for the charity that helped his family.
So…we decided, rather foolishly perhaps, to take on this mammoth cycle ride across the continent!! The Leeds based charity we will be cycling for is called Candlelighters and they do a fantastic job helping families, and the children themselves, to cope with what is a horrific situation. They were a huge support to The Hockins and continue to support hundreds of unfortunate families every year.
So that is the why, now the “what?”
Jamie and I will cycle from Putney to St Tropez unassisted (no support vehicle) and we will be carrying everything we need for 10 days – which is, by the way, one hell of a lot of lycra – there will soon be more detail and photo’s on the website.
So please keep checking our site to see “progress”.
We have quite a punchy target of £20,000, and we totally appreciate that this is not the best time to be asking people for their hard earned cash, but if you could spare a couple of quid, Candlelighters, Jamie and I will be hugely grateful. (There is a ‘Sponsor Us’ section on the website, which is very easy and safe to donate)
Any questions please ask.
P.S. if anyone is interested in helping get us corporate sponsiorship please email me or Jamie for further details.
P.P.S. Please invite your friends to the Facebook group – London to St Tropez…THANKS!
